1990 BMW E30 M3 CONVERTIBLE
SOLD in negotiations to the highest bidder for reserve.
This 1990 European spec BMW E30 M3 is just one of 738 convertibles produced and was purchased and imported from a private collection in Japan and into the U.K. in early 2021. This E30 M3 is powered by a BMW S14 2.3L Inline 4 cylinder driving the rear wheels via 5-speed manual transmission. This 1990 model year features upgraded horsepower from the previous catalyst S14 engine making 215hp. The car is finished in Deep Black and Black extended Nappa leather with the M tri-color stripes on both front and rear seats, as well as unique door panels with diagonal pleating. The car has just recently gone through an inspection and full service which includes oil/air filter, engine/gearbox/diff oil, coolant, pas fluid, and spark plugs. The car shows just 59,000km or about 37,000 miles and has reportedly been stored in dry indoor storage through its Japanese ownership.
The E30 M3 is arguably the most iconic M series car produced which carries a lot of significance in the eyes of many BMW collectors. The early M cars are an absolute blast to drive with a mechanical feel that modern cars just don’t offer. This particular M3 has a lot going for it as far as collectibility, including the more powerful engine, low production numbers, originality, and recent service.

I’ve always dreamed about owning a E30, this car looks amazing. One day. GLWS!
Has the car ever been in an accident, or had any body work done?
There is no history of accidents that we are aware of. The seller states the front bumper, passenger side rear quarter, and rear bumper have been touched up but nothing repainted.
Thanks!

This is a beautiful, rare E30 M3. This auction ends tomorrow and the price is only at 30k at this time, this is insane rarity!

This is funny how it went from 30ish to 65 with one user. Wonder if the 65k user works for them. They probably were not even hitting the reserve price so they had to raise it as time us running out. 🤷🏻♂️
There was an issue with how the bids were feeding into the comments, we have since resolved the issue. Thank you for your feedback.
I don’t work for them, lol…. I just want an e30 m3.

Why did a new bid add 6 hours?
There was a time zone conflict occurring when bidding within the last minute. We have reset the clock to 24 minutes. Thank you all for your interest as we dial in the soft launch.
I’m not sure why I’m unable to comment? How come the timer was reset by 6 hours?
Hi Sharminate, the time was reset to 6 hours due to a time zone issue in the backend. The development team has resolved the issue and the auction has resumed. We reset the clock to 25mins to allow everyone interested the opportunity to bid.
I think you have too many bugs happening for this to be a fair and equitable auction. I can no longer see the e30 M3 listed on the auctions page.
First the bids in between weren’t registering and price went from 30 to 65k. Then the timer nearly expired and a last second bid came in from the same guy that had the first major bid increase. Now you had a time zone issue and rolled back the auction 6 hours when the timer hadn’t changed at all for 7 days. Lastly, now the auction isn’t even visible next to the other vehicles.
Idk what the reserve is set for, but I almost walked away as highest bidder. Hopefully seller isn’t jacking his own price up using another account.
You really should get an approved payment method as verification from each bidder to keep this honest.
I don’t understand… it says Auction Finished? What is going on here?
Can someone from DCC explain why the auction ended prematurely as I was in the last seconds of bidding??
What does this imply?
